Alex Bremer is born in Peterborough, UK, to Nick Bremer and Sylvia (née Paterson), the eldest of what will become five children. His mother, now Sylvia Schwadron, lives in California. Four years after Alex is born, his father takes up the art post at Brighton College that will shape his childhood.

Dad runs the art department
Alex's father, Nick Bremer, becomes Director of Art at Brighton College, a post he holds for 31 years. Nick is an accomplished painter of note in both watercolour and oils.

Alex's father marries Jill, who becomes Alex's stepmother. Jill now lives in Devon.

Brighton College, Ryle House
After the junior school, Alex moves up to the senior school as a day boy in Ryle House. His happiest hours are backstage on Senior School productions: designing, building and running the sets and props, late rehearsals and last-minute construction included. In Lower Sixth Business Studies he says he wants to start a graphic design agency.

Sixteen years younger than Alex, and the brother he will go on to build 3B Digital with.

The Palace Theatre crew
Joins Andrew Lloyd Webber's company as a stage technician and works up to Deputy Master Carpenter. For twelve years he is part of the small permanent crew at the Palace Theatre on Cambridge Circus, preparing the stage and the crew for each night's performance. From December 1985 the show on that stage is Les Misérables.

Cameron Mackintosh Ltd
Eleven years with the producer behind Les Misérables, which opened in London in October 1985. Decades later Alex sits down with actress Sian Reeves to compare their earliest memories of the show.

1986–1987
A brief career as a racing driver
Sponsored by Cameron Mackintosh, Alex races single-seaters with the Les Mis girl painted on the nose, alongside team-mate David Grant. In his own words, he was "a rather unsuccessful racing driver for a short while". The love of motorsport stays: Brands Hatch and Formula E in Battersea Park both turn up on his channels later.

On TV in The Best of Magic
Alex is a guest on the television show The Best of Magic. He later digitised the clip and posted it to YouTube in 2013, where it has been watched more than 6,000 times.

Meets Miriam
Alex meets Miriam ("Mimi"), a ballet dancer, at the Palace Theatre, just as his twelve years on the Palace crew are coming to an end. Miriam goes on to dance the lead in the Irish dance show Spirit of the Dance, and Alex later posts her 2005 performances on his YouTube channel.

The schoolboy's agency idea becomes real, and the family grows south of the river.

3B Digital is founded
Alex co-founds a digital agency in Covent Garden with his brother, Jack Bremer, when digital media is still very new. As Creative Director he leads new business and oversees projects from the creative side. The work spans CRM, SEO, website strategy, design and build, social media and advertising, mostly for events, education and entertainment clients.
His proudest achievement: that he and Jack "have built a business that employs people".

2005
Web designer to the Old Brightonians
Rebuilds the OBA website with a notice board, photo gallery and expanded Hall of Fame. The President thanks him for enthusiasm "well beyond the call of duty". In 2009 he redesigns it again, "bringing it into the 21st century".

Lizzy dies of neuroblastoma two days after her second birthday. The family goes on to support Neuroblastoma UK, 3B takes up childhood cancer awareness, and in 2015 Alex posts "Wired To The Moon", a father's hymn to his daughter.

The family trade: drawing and painting
Like his father Nick and his brother Patrick, Alex draws and paints. His work runs from ink-and-watercolour cartoons in the 1990s and 2000s, including the Toucan pub in Soho, to cross-hatched portraits of his family: his father Nick, Lizzy, Teddy and Miriam.

A life of live music
Alex has been to 320 concerts. Along the way: George Michael at Wembley, The Police at Twickenham, Blondie, Billy Idol, The Pretenders, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the Royal Albert Hall, Talk Talk's tribute night, and more recently Neil Young in Hyde Park in 2025 and Reef at Shepherd's Bush Empire. Many of those nights are filmed and posted on his YouTube channels.

Vinyl on, working from home
Home is now Purley. Alongside 3B, Alex works as a board advisor on digital transformation, data strategy and marketing. His record collection now runs to some 1,500 albums, and Instagram this autumn is records on the turntable, opinions on terrible album covers, a new kitten among the LPs, and October skies "worth a little chill".
